Made from AC Hazlet Winter Rye and Minnesota 13 Heirloom Corn grown just steps from our still, this whiskey reflects the grit and grace of northern Minnesota farming. The rye endured bitter winters, spring hailstorms, and blistering summer heat — each season leaving its signature on the grain.
The result is a subtle, nuanced and complex rye with deep grain character, structured spice, and a smooth, enduring finish that could only come from grain this good and a place this remote.

The Far North Method
Distilled in a single season by a single distiller, aged four years in 53-gallon charred American oak barrels, and bottled at exactly 100 proof, this expression meets the strict standards of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. But for us, it's not just about meeting regulations — it’s about honoring transparency, authenticity and flavor.
Mash Bill: 80% AC Hazlet Rye, 10% Heirloom Corn, 10% Malt Barley
Open top fermented with house selected yeast for 4-5 days.
Double distilled to 150 on a 500 gallon hybrid pot still with an 8 plate column designed by Vendome Copper & Brass Works.
Aged for 4+ years in new 53 gallon oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Nose: Brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla bean, sawn oak
Palate: Butter-smooth, with smoked ham and balsa wood
Finish: Soft-baked pretzel, warm star anise

60ml - Far North Roknar Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey
15ml - Amaretto Liqueur
2 Dash - Angostura Bitters
Stir and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Spritz an orange peel over the drink and discard. Garnish with a skewered maraschino cherry.

1 oz Far North Roknar Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey
1 oz bitter orange liqueur
.75 oz sweet vermouth
Stir over ice and strain into coupe. Garnish with an expressed orange peel.
