The Far North Method
Open top fermented with house selected yeast for 4-5 days.
Double distilled to 150 proof on a 500 gallon hybrid pot still with an 8 plate column designed by Vendome Copper & Brass Works.
Barrel entry proof is 118. Aged for 2 years in 15-gallon charred oak barrels and finished in Cognac casks.
The Minnesota Mash Bill: 80% AC Hazlet Rye, 10% heirloom corn and 10% malt barley
Far North aims to establish MINNESOTA Rye as a regional style in the spirit of Pennsylvania and Maryland-style ryes.

TASTING NOTES
Roknar marries aromas of brown sugar and cinnamon with vanilla bean, roasted almonds and freshly sawn oak.
Nose: Brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla bean, sawn oak
Palate: Butter-smooth, with smoked ham and balsa wood
Finish: Soft-baked pretzel, warm star anise

Old fashioned
2 oz Roknar rye
3 drops Angostura bitters
Bartender’s spoon (or two) simple syrup
Stir over ice 40 rotations. Strain into glass. Garnish with orange peel and black cherry.

Boulevardier
1 oz Roknar Minnesota Rye | Cognac Cask Finish
1 oz Bitter Orange Liqueur
.75 oz sweet vermouth
Stir over ice. Strain into Nick & Nora glass. Express orange peel, discard
