After a great deal of thought and consideration, we have decided to close our cocktail room effective immediately until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We’ve enjoyed serving folks on Saturday nights, and we look forward to making cocktails again. But right now our primary concern is the safety of our customers and employees.
We have the privilege of being part of a community that is incredibly supportive. Additionally, Kittson County has done a great job of keeping our positive COVID cases to fewer than 5. We are grateful that people from around the region are interested in our spirits and are making the trip up to Hallock to visit our cocktail room. However, we know this puts everyone at a greater risk. Even following the well-researched requirements of the Minnesota Department of Health, we don’t believe that being open right now is worth the risk to our community.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for visiting us on the flip side.
FAR NORTH GIFT CARDS
You can purchase a Far North Spirits gift card in various denominations here. Gift cards may be used in our cocktail room to purchase spirits, apparel, glassware or cocktails, and they never expire.
We’re a 6 hour drive north of Minneapolis + St. Paul and 20 minutes from the Canadian border. There is a flight via Boutique Air that takes you to our neighboring town of Thief River Falls (about one hour from Hallock) where you can also rent a car.
In Hallock, we recommend the Caribou Inn located in center of town and The Scandinavia Airbnb that can sleep up to 7 people, fully equipped with a kitchen and a beautiful deck overlooking the main street in Hallock.
FUN AROUND HALLOCK
From our peaceful prairies and streams to our nearby nature preserve to golfing at the Two River Golf Club, there is plenty to do in and around Hallock. After visiting our distillery, you can grab a beer and pizza at Revelation Ale Works and stay up late to see the Northern Lights with Kittson County Skies. There’s also plenty of hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling in the winter
